Miguelina Gambaccini, the founder and designer of the highly-coveted lifestyle brand, Miguelina, is best known for her uncanny ability to create designs for the most discriminating clientele. Equal parts sophisticated yet laid-back, Ms. Gambaccini´s delicately detailed and ultra-feminine designs take inspiration from her jet-set travels to international locales.

Born in the Dominican Republic, Ms. Gambaccini´s flair for design began as a child. Because of the lack of fine ganments on the island, she was forced to create a custom wardrobe at a local seamstress. Years later, after moving to New York, Miguelina worked as a merchandiser for Emanuel Ungaro, where she learned to mix patterns and solids in vivid colors. ``I was so suprised how many people wore black and gray. I was desperate for color´´, says Ms. Gambacinni, in 1997, the designer set out to apply her own fashion philosophy to a selection of spirited, carefree designs.
